Guild Care has received national recognition at the prestigious Care Home Awards UK 2026 where the charity won the top award for Best Use of Technology and Digital Care Strategy at the event held at the National Conference Centre near Birmingham on Friday 15th May.

The award celebrates organisations that are leading the way in using technology and digital innovation to improve care quality and the wellbeing of both residents and staff.

Alongside the national award win, Guild Care also received a High Commendation for Training and Development across its three residential care homes, recognising the organisation’s commitment to investing in its people and supporting both high standards of care and career development.

Founded in 1933, Guild Care is well-established but has never rested on its laurels. This latest award win reflects Guild Care’s ongoing focus on combining compassionate care with modern digital approaches that enhance care and wellbeing.

New technology has been introduced to support Guild Care’s high quality of care. Recent innovations include acoustic monitoring for improving residents’ sleep, touchscreens that allow instant feedback from loved ones and the introduction of the Nourish care system for wraparound care notes for the whole team. Guild Care has even created its own app for staff rotas.

Warren Fabes, CEO of Guild Care, said, “I am incredibly proud to receive this national recognition from the Care Home Awards UK on behalf of everyone at Guild Care.

“These achievements recognise the dedication and professionalism of our teams in Caer Gwent, Linfield House, and Haviland House. Our approach has always been centred on delivering outstanding care for all the people we support.

“Our first care home, Caer Gwent, opened in 1988. Since then, we’ve remained at the leading edge of care through continuous innovation. Receiving the award for Best Use of Technology and Digital Care Strategy highlights the positive impact our digital transformation has had on the wellbeing of both residents and staff in our care homes.

“The High Commendation for Training and Development reflects our belief that investing in our people is essential to delivering consistently high standards. Our training is based on the latest research as well as celebrating the smaller moments that matter.”

With three care homes, Caer Gwent and Linfield House in the heart of Worthing and Haviland House, a purpose-built home in Goring-by-Sea for people living with dementia, Guild Care continues to invest in both technology and staff learning and development.

The Care Home Awards UK 2026 recognises excellence and innovation across the care sector, celebrating organisations and individuals making a significant contribution to improving care services nationwide.
