Guild Care expands Home Care service as demand grows for support this winter With Christmas approaching and the New Year just ahead, Guild Care is encouraging older people who may be finding this time of year challenging to reach out for support. The trusted social care charity’s Home Care team can offer a variety of options to suit individual needs, from companionship visits and a little extra help around the home, or more regular personal care. The Home Care team are ready to bring a friendly face and practical assistance during what can be a busy or emotionally difficult season. “The festive period can be full of sociable get-togethers with friends and family,” said Lacey Thomas, Head of Home Care at Guild Care, “but we know it can sometimes feel overwhelming or lonely for many people, especially those who are older and perhaps finding day to day tasks more challenging these days. “Even a friendly visit, a chat over a cup of tea, or a little extra help with shopping or picking up prescriptions can make a huge difference and that’s what we’re here to provide. As we move into the New Year, our priority is to ensure people feel supported to live independently, so they can continue to enjoy the comfort and familiarity of their own home.” As demand continues to grow, Guild Care’s reliable Home Care services are now available in a wider area around Worthing, while maintaining the same trusted quality, professionalism, and compassion the charitable organisation has become known for over the past 90 years. In addition to its long-standing support in Worthing itself, Guild Care now provides Home Care to the west of the town, throughout Angmering, Durrington, East Preston, Ferring, Goring, and Rustington. The service also extends to people living northwards in Findon, High Salvington, and Broadwater, as well as eastwards to East Worthing, Southwick, Shoreham, and Lancing. Every care plan is tailored individually so it’s shaped around what matters most to each person but all with the aim of supporting independence, dignity, wellbeing and comfort. Visits in person are welcome at the Home Care team’s offices at Portland Road, Worthing, or more information is available on their website at Guildcare Homecare - Guild Care, or for a friendly, informal chat about the different options under Guild Care’s Home Care services, or to talk about extra support in the New Year, call 01903 528637.
