Ashdown Siblings offers sessions in the school holidays to the siblings of the children who use our services.

The service was launched in 2007 after parents and carers said they found it hard to divide time equally between their children when one of them was a child with learning disabilities or complex needs.

The sessions are themed activity days and outings with staff, enabling the children to meet others in the same situation as themselves, have fun and relax. Activities have included a circus skills workshops, cooking, crafts, free play, games, puzzles, parties and bowling.

Fees and funding

This service is subsidised by West Sussex County Council funding and other generous sponsors. The cost to families is £14 per child per day.
